Support Sanity was founded in the summer of 2002 and has been building rapidly. Since then – in addition to creating and test-marketing the lapel pin and other Green Line items and establishing this website and creating the necessary legal infrastructure – we have:

• sold 10,000 customized lapel pins to Tikkun;

• run ads in national (USA) magazines: Bible Review, Biblical Archaeology Review, Mother Jones, The Progressive, Tikkun and Washington Report on Middle East Affairs;

• co-sponsored "Support Gush Shalom" ads in Israeli newspapers;

• supported the Tikkun Campus Network Founding Conference in New York (11-14 October 2002);

• been endorsed by a growing number of organizations who have become Support Sanity Associates;

• arranged for distribution of lapel pins and other items through the Northern Sun (mail-order catalog and website) and Peace Please! (website);

• provided lapel pins to Silk Road Theatre Project for fundraising in conjunction with their world premiere of "Precious Stones";

• co-sponsored Ishai Menuchin visit to Chicago (9 April 2003);

• supported campaign in favor of H. Con. Res. 111 for Rachel Corrie;

• co-sponsored Walk for a Just Peace (4 May 2003);

• supported U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation 2nd Annual Organizers' Conference in Washington, DC (19-22 July 2203); and

• distributed free lapel pins and other Green Line items to dozens of organizations and individuals.

Support Sanity's current activities are focused on identifying and approaching organizations and individuals, both around the U.S. and around the world, who may be interested in working with us in one way or another. We are particularly trying to connect with those interested in, and capable of, organizing allied Support Sanity and Six Day Peace campaigns outside the U.S.
